In order to register a new build EcoHomes assessment in England or Wales one of the following needs to be provided before we can register the assessment.
1) A letter / or email from the Housing Association confirming the bidding round the development falls under. An email is accepted but must be from the housing association and must be in original email form (not copied into a word / notepad document). The letter/email must state the development name and the bidding round.
NB.
A letter / email from the developer/HA stating they require EcoHomes is not suitable, it must fall under the bidding round 2006-2008.
Any assessments that has EcoHomes as a requirement but is under the 2008-2011 bidding round will need to be confirmed by the HCA that they have amended the requirement from CSH to EcoHomes before a registration can take place.
2) A contractual document that states the EcoHomes requirement. This document must have the development name, number of units and a clause that states that EcoHomes is required on this development. Planning consent documents, section 106 agreements, funding documents are all applicable if the requirement for an EcoHomes rating is stated.
NB. If the contractual requirement states that EcoHomes or Code for Sustainable Homes is required, we cannot register the assessment under EcoHomes, it has to be registered to the current CSH version.
